Harvest Best Academy faced major challenges this year, including multiple lawsuits and a leadership change. But leaders of the Minneapolis charter school express optimism for its future.
It was also Harvest Best’s first Kwanzaa celebration without the leadership of the school’s founder and CEO, Eric Mahmoud, whom the school board fired in March. And the school is now fending off an eviction claim from Mahmoud’s wife, Ella.ol.
